MOU Signed between PSW & DRAP For Cross-Border Trade Facilitation

Pakistan Single Window (PSW) and the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today to further expand their partnership for trade facilitation through the integration of cross-border business processes of DRAP. Pakistan committed to deepening diplomatic trade relations with neighboring states

Minister for Commerce Syed Naveed Qamar said on Wednesday that the incumbent government was striving hard to promote and develop regional trade, particularly with Central Asian states by introducing modern trade and business technologies, besides facilitating the business communities across the region. Addressing a three-day conference on “Peer Learning Initiatives, National Single Window Implementation and Management” organized by Pakistan Single Window in collaboration with Ready4Trade Central Asia (R4TCA) project, the minister said that the trading process could be eased by using the latest techniques.

Peer Learning Initiative for Single Window Officials from Central Asia and Pakistan

A Peer Learning Initiative on Single Windows Implementation and Management is organised by the International Trade Centre in the framework of the European Union funded Ready4Trade Central Asia (R4TCA) and hosted by the Pakistan Single Window. The event brings together public and private sector customs and trade experts from Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan to share their knowledge, experiences, and regional best practices for the development and implementation of the national single window.

DPP related commodities (with some exceptions) are shifted over to PSW

All the Department of Plant Protection - DPP related commodities, with some exceptions, will be completely shifted over to PSW, and clearance will be subjected to e-issuance of Release Order by DPP through filing Single Declaration (SD) w.e.f. 05th October 2022.

Pakistan To Improve Trade Ties With Neighbors

Pakistan will improve trade relations with all neighbors, Commerce Minister Naveed Qamar said on Wednesday. The minister was addressing the three-day conference on Peer Learning Initiatives, National Single Window Implementation and Management, organized by Pakistan Single Window (PSW) in collaboration with the International Trade Centre in the framework of the European Union-funded Ready4Trade Central Asia (R4TCA). “The government is committed to deepening political, diplomatic, and trade relations with all our neighboring countries”, he remarked.

PSW Implements E-Phytosanitary Certificates at the Torkham Border

Pakistan Single Window (PSW) in collaboration with the Department of Plant Protection (DPP) has successfully rolled out the electronic processing and issuance of the Phyto-sanitary certificates at the Torkham border crossing with Afghanistan. Exports of all commodities falling under the jurisdiction of the DPP will be processed through the Single Window system on the filing of the Single Declaration and will be subject to the electronic issuance of a phytosanitary certificate by the DPP.

PSW to issue electronic phytosanitary certificates

Pakistan Single Window (PSW), in collaboration with the Department of Plant Protection (DPP), has launched electronic processing and issuance of the phytosanitary certificates at the Torkham border crossing with Afghanistan. The system eliminates the need for physical visits to the DPP offices, digitizes the application, processing, and issuance process of the phytosanitary certificate, and seamlessly integrates the land border clearances with the PSW system already offering the same services at the seaports and international air freight units.
